The buildings here are low and dense: houses of a few floors stand close together, with narrow passages between them. The first level is made up of arches — the frames show rows of openings without infill.
The stone is light-colored, the masonry is coarse; some of the walls are still in scaffolding. This is neither towers nor a villa settlement but an attempt to assemble a dense little town by the water.
